Our Journey Through Pixels

PixelExpo Show was born in 2019 from a simple conversation between three childhood friends who grew up sharing joysticks and controllers. Marcus Chen, Elena Rodriguez, and Toby Blackwood reminisced about their formative gaming experiences and realized that younger generations were missing the tactile joy of retro gaming while older enthusiasts had few opportunities to share their passion.

What started as a small weekend gathering in a community hall quickly evolved into Adelaide's premier gaming exhibition. Our first event attracted 200 visitors who spent hours exploring 30 vintage arcade cabinets and home console stations. The overwhelming positive response convinced us that there was genuine hunger for a space where gaming history could be celebrated and preserved.

By 2026, PixelExpo Show has grown into an internationally recognized exhibition attracting thousands of visitors annually. We've expanded our collection to include over 500 playable gaming systems spanning five decades, from rare prototypes to cutting-edge VR experiences. Our commitment remains unchanged: creating meaningful connections through the universal language of gaming.

Our Mission & Values

What Drives Us Forward

๐ŸŽฏ

Preservation

We believe gaming history deserves to be preserved and experienced, not just archived. Every console, cartridge, and cabinet in our collection is maintained to working condition so visitors can authentically experience gaming as it was meant to be played.

๐Ÿค

Community

Gaming transcends age, background, and experience level. We cultivate an inclusive environment where seasoned collectors share stories with curious newcomers, and competitive players celebrate alongside casual enthusiasts in mutual appreciation of gaming culture.

๐Ÿ’ก

Education

Beyond entertainment, we educate visitors about gaming's technological evolution, cultural impact, and artistic merit. Through interactive exhibits and expert-led discussions, we demonstrate how games have shaped and reflected society for generations.
